Thomas H. Meyer is an associate professor in the Department of Natural Resources Management and Engineering at the University of Connecticut. He received his doctorate from Texas A&M University where he was a research associate in the Mapping Sciences Laboratory. He is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, American Association for Geodetic Surveying, the Cartography and Geographic Information Society, the American Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing, and the American Geophysical Union. Meyer has authored numerous peer-reviewed papers about surveying and mapping, and teaches professional education seminars for surveyors throught the United States.
