Praise for Ghost Hunter's Guide to Los Angeles

"Jeff Dwyer has done it again. Easily one of the best Ghost Story writers working today. You will never look at The City of Angels the same way."
--Ray Couch, Southern Ghosts

Numerous sites of natural disasters, criminal activity, suicides, and other tragic events abound in the greater Los Angeles area, providing hundreds of opportunities for ghost hunting. In Ghost Hunter's Guide to Los Angeles, avid ghost hunter Jeff Dwyer suggests accessible sites from Hollywood to Long Beach, as well as local and visitor haunts in nearby San Diego and Santa Barbara, where you can research and organize your own ghost hunt. More than one hundred haunted spots, complete with handy checklists, procedural tips, and anecdotal evidence of previous sightings at each location, are suggested here. The guide describes in simple terms how to look for and--in case of an encounter--interact with supernatural phenomena. It also lists special tours, events, and other resources for further exploration.
Even for nonbelievers, this comprehensive, offbeat guidebook is as useful for locals as it is for new residents and tourists, suggesting interesting and unusual spots that others might miss.

Author Jeff Dwyer lived in Southern California for nine years, two of them on Catalina Island. He has spent a great deal of time ghost hunting, scuba diving, and bicycling hundreds of miles of back roads in San Diego and Santa Barbara. A native of Northern California, he works as a clinical specialist in cardiology. Dwyer's inexplicable experiences in hospitals, cemeteries, and historic sites around the Bay Area led to extensive research that culminated in his first book, Ghost Hunter's Guide to the San Francisco Bay Area. Mr. Dwyer resides with his wife and three children in Fairfield, California.
