About the Author

Pauline Allen is a Professor and Foundation Director of the Centre for Early Christian Studies at Australian Catholic University in Brisbane and a Research Associate in the Department of Ancient Languages at the University of Pretoria. She is the author of numerous works, including Sophronius of Jerusalem and Seventh-Century Heresy: The Synodical Letter and Other Documents (Oxford), and the co-author of Let Us Die That We May Live : Greek Homilies on Christian Martyrs from Asia Minor, Palestine and Syria c.
