Learning to understand Latin can be hard enough, let alone trying to speak it. Let the teacher guide you through it. The teacher reads through the vocabulary from each "Weekly Word List" found in the Student workbook (including chants and phrases). For each lesson, the teacher will say the word twice, pause, and then say the English translation. Keep in mind, unlike Spanish, Italian, or other modern languages, no contemporary culture speaks Latin. The greatest value for most students is indirect. In the long run, most students will encounter Latin only on the printed page. The one genuinely important goal in pronunciation is consistency. Classical pronunciation. Supplemental.
