Ronald Lee Christopher is retired from the US Army. He served in Vietnam during 1966/67 with A Troop, 9th Cavalry reconnaissance platoon. Christopher was an Army Ranger who was instrumental in the formation of the 1st Cavalry Division's LRRPs. As a senior NCO, 29 years of age, he trained the first (and only) LRRP team and led them into the jungle searching for the enemy or any other intelligence that would assist in finding the enemy. Due to his successful missions the LRRP was TO&E to the Cavalry Division. The 2nd Battalion, 75th Rangers carries the colors of the Cavalry Division LRRPs.
