Rich Aarstad is Archivist and Oral Historian at the Montana Historical Society in Helena, Montana. In addition the numerous articles on Montana history, he is co-author of Montana Place Names From Alzada to Zortman (Montana Historical Society Press, 2009).
Jim Calvi is the author of numerous local histories for the Troy, Montana area, including: Yaak River Valley, 1890-1930 (2000); Early Days and Historica Times of Troy, Montana (1999); The Bull River Valley 1890-1925 (1998); and Sylvanite, Montana : gold town of the Yaak Mining District 1896-1910 (1996).
