Whitney Stewart has been writing children's books for 2 years. She authored Marshall: A Nantucket Sea Rescue, another telling of this story for young readres, for the American Veterinary Medical Association. In August 25, Stewart was trapped in New Orleans during Hurricane Katrina. After a helicopter evacuation, she lived on Nantucket for five months. She's now back in New Orleans with her husband and son.
