Dr. Peggy Rae Dorrs, a Ph.D. in Biology, has enlightened and encouraged high school and college students in field and nature courses. She taught biology for six years in the public schools of Mississippi and Arkansas and spent 30 years at Henderson State University in Arkadelphia, Arkansas serving as Professor of Biology and Chair of the Department of Biology. This closeness to nature and all living things has inspired the writing of these stories of God, nature and animals. Many of the animals were owned by the writer. Dr. Dorris has been a teacher, department Chairperson, researcher, author, poet and cattle rancher over the past 40 years. She has authored and published more than 40 scientific manuscripts in state and local journals. She has also written Biology laboratory manuals and handbooks. Her poetry has been published in various collections. She is listed in Who's Who among American Women, Outstanding Young Women of America, American Men and Women of Science, Who's Who in Ecology and at least 12 other Who's Who Publications. The writer went to school to learn artificial insemination and, starting with a small herd of English breed cattle, was able to breed up to a 100 head of registered purebred Simmental cattle, an exotic breed which originated in the SIMMs Valley of Switzerland. She is a dedicated hunter, fisherman and philosopher. Her passion for life, love, and happiness is captured in these short stories that should intrigue adults, adolescents and children. In every story, attention is turned to the wonderful love and presence of God as it unfolds through nature and the things of life our Maker has provided for our enjoyment. This book initiates a spiritual perception of profound truth that will capture your heart and soul, as you understand the interconnectiveness of life.
