This film tells the inspiring story of Fr. Joseph Muzquiz (1914-1983), the Spanish priest who began Opus Dei's activities in the United States and whose cause for canonization was opened in 2010. In 1949 Fr. Muzquiz arrived in Chicago, speaking little English, with only a few dollars in his pocket, and Opus Dei almost totally unknown. But, encouraged by St. Josemaria Escriva, he worked with quiet determination and strong faith for many years. Through his influence many young Americans committed their lives to spreading Opus Dei's message of serving God in everyday life.
