9781594573361: The Moses Legacy: Roots of Jewish Suffering

This book is written for those rare individuals who like to think for themselves and who are interested in why events happen in the socio-political arena the way they do. It examines fundamental assumptions that guide our leadership and have now brought us to the "War on Terror." The Moses Legacy demonstrates how the amalgamation of Jewish and Christian thought, under the term "Judeo-Christian tradition," has led to mistaken decisisons and will continue to foster wrong policies in the future.

The book deals with Gentile-Jewish relationships since the inception of the Jewish religion and the reasons for the misunderstandings, as well at times outright hatred, between members of these two groups. The need to understand these aspects is urgent lest our Middle-East policies lead to a nuclear disaster.

In its first part the book describes the origin of the Jewish faith; how the Jewish people have been taught to view themselves and their deity; how they have defended their views in the past and why they have - as a nation - so frequently come to grief.

The second part of the book shows how Jewish influence is wielded in the internal affairs of the United States as well as in its foreign policy. Thus, the book deals with anti-Semitism and demonstrates why this mental attitude cannot be wished away or legislated out of existence.

In essence the book shows how the fundamental assumptions of the Jewish religion not only differ from those of the rest of the world but can provoke conflict. It also shows that in authentic Judaism there can be no "separation of Church and State" and the difficulties that have to arise from this position. These are serious matters for Jew and Gentile alike and this why this book was written and should be read.

From the Publisher:

In this as well as my two other non-medical books the author and publisher are essentially one. This was not my first choice but an inevitable outcome of numerous rejections by agents and "reputable publishers." The "print on demand" route was, therefore, chosen. Although it does allow distribution over Internet commerce it also tends to relegate one's work to obscurity. The media will not review it because they regard it as "spam." On the other hand a great many books that have become classics later on had to be initially self-published, and since this book deals with fundamental ideas, which will survive both author and publisher, it might even share this fate.

From the Author:

There may be several reasons why the book has been rejected by agents and publishers.

One is that we live in a crass commercial culture, where books tend to be judged by the amount of money they will bring the publisher. A serious book fails this test. University Presses reject it because an investigation and dissection of some fundamental assumptions, as was done here, goes against the prevailing wind even in academia. Editors are not willing to stake their reputation on a topic as emotionally laden as this one.

Why did I persevere? My European background, the Nazi era I lived through, and my profession have provided me with a sense of responsibility. I saw, in my youth, injustices perpetrated and could do nothing about them. I see them again now and the only avenue the private individual citizen has is an attempt to educate others to the dangers which lie ahead when the current course continues to be maintained. America is being moulded into a country that bears little resemblance to the ideals of the founders of the republic and this should be avoided, if at all possible.
