Here's a guide to baking delicious desserts with a colorful twist: sprinkles!
Of course you can scatter them over cakes and pies. But did you know that you
can swirl sprinkles into waffles, "embroider" them on cookies, and freeze
them in pretty popsicles?! Inside this book you'll find dozens of creative, colorful,
super-fun recipes, plus quick-and-easy projects (ideal for little kids), holiday treats,
and party-perfect edible gifts. Learn how to custom tint your own sparkling sugars,
mix up sprinkles cocktail rims, and even craft your own sprinkles from scratch.
When it comes to sprinkles, the possibilities are endless—and so much fun!
Sprinkles! features step-by-step recipes for making the world a sweeter and
sparklier place, one pinch of sprinkles at a time! Inside you'll find:
Breakfast Sweets: Colorful ways to start your day, including Belgian Pearl
Sugar Waffles, Sprinkles-Stuffed French Toast, Fairy Bread Sandwiches,
Homemade Pop Tarts, and addictive Gingersnap Cookie Butter.
Cookies, Cakes, and Pies: Sprinkley recipes for everything from classic
baked goods like Black and White Cookies and Confetti Cake to such
modern favorites as Holiday Cake Pops and Orange Dreamsicle Cookies.
Snacks and Party Fare: Share the sweetness with crowd-friendly fare,
including Brazilian Chocolate Truffles, Meringue Kisses, Chocolate Bark,
Dark Chocolate Peppermint Ice Cream Cones, and Birthday Cake Martinis.
Plus a guide to identifying sprinkles (so you can tell your sequins from your
nonpareils), recipes for homemade sprinkles (to customize to your heart's
desire), and tips and techniques for sprinkling like a pro. Make everything
magical with Sprinkles!
Hi there!
I am so happy to be bringing you a book called Sprinkles! How could I not be? Sprinkles are all about delight—with their color, sweetness, and little bit of crunch, they bring a visible layer of joy to everything they adorn. Sprinkles make the world a better, more rainbowlicious place. They exist, pure and simple, to make happiness.
But the world of sprinkles is far from simple. From the nearly microscopic to the size of a peanut, the term sprinkle encompasses all things cute and sweet, in every shape you can imagine. The power of sprinkles is anything but superficial. Whether it’s a host of multicolored sequins showered on a slice of fairy bread or one perfectly placed dragée topping off a cupcake, a sprinkly sheen on a sweet treat can change everything. And the best part is, you don’t have to be a pastry chef to play with sprinkles. With a few of the fun tricks in this book up your sleeve, you’ll be whipping up sprinkle-studded goodies in no time.
This book is all about using the beauty of sprinkles to unleash your creativity. The recipes and how-tos are also great for kids and families who want to cook together. But above all, Sprinkles! is a true community effort. We saw the amazing ways that people use sprinkles, and then we incorporated some of those ideas into this book. But we’d love to see more!
We’ve given you the tools, knowledge, and inspiration to create your own sprinkle-tastic vision, and now it’s up to you to bring it to life. The recipes are a guide, a way to illustrate all the wonderful ways to use sprinkles, but there’s always room for new ideas. Let’s get started and discover the rainbowlicious world of sprinkles together!
