Brian Mittman is the Managing Partner of Markhoff & Mittman, a law firm helping injured workers and their families since 1933. His practice focuses on Workers Compensation Claims, Social Security Disability Claims and other Disability related matters. He wrote this book to provide injured workers with the information they will need to help them understand their rights and the obstacles they face when dealing with insurance companies, the Workers Compensation Board, and employers. Brian adopted New York as his home State after attending the University of Rochester then moving to Brooklyn to attend Brooklyn Law School. He and his wife are the parents of four and he is an avid ice hockey player (taking up the sport at the age of 32!).
