About the Author
Marie Murphy Duess is the author of Colonial Inns and Taverns of Bucks County: How Pubs, Taprooms and Hostelries made Revolutionary History. Duess, a published author of two full-length historical novels, River Pines and Rone Daniels, has written numerous magazine articles and assisted in writing and editing the recently released The Healing Consciousness: A Doctor's Journey to Healing (Woven Word 2006) by Beth Baughman DuPree, M.D., FACS. She was a freelance correspondent for Mature Lifestyles and other specialty publications for the Bucks County Courier Times and for Times Publishing Newspapers.
