About the Author:

Georgina Williams, a Canadian Metis lives in the Northern Canadian forest on a remote lake with her artist husband Kacy J.M. Bowman, She was born in a Canadian Reformatory for Women within the jurisdiction of the Attorney General of Canada. Her mother. Dekina. was a thirteen-year-old rape victim. Never treated medically or psychologically for the trauma of this rape she remained in a state of shock until her death. Both Georgina and Deicina were treated as criminals and used as slave labour for a total of twenty-five years in the commercial laundry operated by a religious order of catholic nuns who acted as jailers.
Georgina was permanently injured by the physical and mental abuse that was used to enforce the child slave labour activities. This violated the Child Labour Act of the Washington Conference of 1921 to which Canada was a signatory. Sexual assault by members of the clergy began for Georgina at age three. The unlawful incarceration of both mother and daughter behind bars, locked doors and under ground solitary
confinement is a matter of record. Only in 2006 did the Canadian Government admit Georgina was born and finally issued her a valid birth certificate. She is a lover of books, bones, feathers, marbles. rocks, beads, cribbage and chess. She has a studio where she designs and creates Indian crafts using natural materials she gathers .She is interested in herbs, natural healing and all forms of music and art. Her favourite authors are Dickens. Dostoyevski. Tom Harpur, Alvin Kuhn, Thoreau. Mark Twain and Voltaire.
