Perrianne Brownback's unique and humorous approach will calm your fears regarding postmodernism, regardless of whether your aversion is to the movement itself or to the sometimes boring lectures that it has generated. She takes an honest look at the culture that we live in and how we got here. And, she makes an honest appeal to church leaders to realize that this is potentially our greatest opportunity to be the authentic church of the New Testament. Inspired and informed by the Scriptures themselves, Perrianne remains an incurable optimist about the church's future, believing that the fields of Western culture are whiter for harvest than anyone has imagined. This second edition has an expanded section on faith and the new science.

Perrianne Brownback is co-leader with her husband, Paul, of The Abbey Church in Fort Worth, Texas. She received degrees in Biology and Chemistry from Oral Roberts and Texas Christian Universities and studied Christian Education at the graduate level before becoming the mother of three boys and enrolling in the more stringent training of parenthood. Perrianne is an international speaker to church leaders and a wide variety of audiences on her observations of how to navigate and lead in a postmodern culture. Her husband describes her as an orthodox revolutionary!Review:
There are few people that I have met that have inspired me on first meeting. Perrianne Brownback impressed me very quickly with her zest for life and her ability to think outside the box. To her the Kingdom is rich with color and beauty and full of possibilities for adventure. The heartening thing for me is that she has not washed her hands of local church but is giving herself the quest of releasing people into a fuller revelation of what church was always intended to be. After all, God so loved the world that He sent His one and only Son. --Stuart Bell- Leader Ground Level Network
