The year is 1946, World War II has come to an end, and everything seems normal in the sleepy little town of Oak Grove-well, almost. As author Sharon Travers shares the first book in her new Oak Grove Chronicles series, A Summer Long Remembered, you'll fall in love with the people, the romance, and a time long since passed. In Oak Grove, the summer is lazily dragging by until the bell in the town square begins to ring mysteriously after years of silence. As the mystery unfolds, it is viewed through the eyes of children as well as adults as they march across the pages bringing laughter, tears, and a sense of peace and goodwill. For every reader who lived in the '40s, this book will grip your memories, and you will hate to leave when it is over. For the younger reader, this will make the '40s come alive. Either way, sit down, step back in time, and enjoy A Summer Long Remembered.
