With a rounded background in theatre from summer-stock to Shakespeare to Chekhov to stand-up comedy and every stop in between, including improvisation with such companies as New Liberty Vaudeville, Unexpected Company and Hot Peaches, Rhoda Carroll Fairman turned to playwriting. Her experimental, two-character play, Saint Joan of Arc and the Stand-Up Comedy Act which developed out of improvisation, is now an independent, feature film in post-production. As to cookbooks, Ms. Fairman has been collecting them for over 30 years, as well as cooking and exchanging recipes with other "unofficial, lazy sluts." To quote Ms. Fairman, "There is a creative, curative power in preparing food for people you love, like, respect, or just haven't absolutely made up your mind to hate yet." The change is: . "is now an independent feature film in post-production, instead of is now a feature film in the editing stage."
