In this debut collection of poems, Paula Eglevsky masterfully creates haikus with a uniquely rich style and elegance. The collection is comprised of fifty-two poems, and within the constraints of each poem's seventeen-syllable format, Ms. Eglevsky either tells a story, paints a picture, explores an emotion, or weaves all three together. Her language is at once succinct ( Gingerbread pieces / mulling in afternoon tea / fills the air with spice ), metaphorical ( January goes / to work in a uniform / of starched winter gray ), and erotic ( Stars blaze possessive / trails across heaven in ways / your lips have my skin ).

About the Author:
Paula Eglevsky holds a Master of Fine Arts degree in creative writing from Southampton College of Long Island University, and a B.A. in English from State University of New York, Albany. She currently lives in New York.
