This volume of the writings of Don Dolindo was first published in 1949 and republished in 1985. It is an explanation of the role of the Holy Spirit in our interior and missionary life centered on the gifts, fruits, and charisms of the Holy Spirit bestowed in Confirmation. It aims at helping those preparing for confirmation, as well as providing the means of grace to live this Sacrament. The exposition is exceptionally clear and practical. It could only have been written by someone who had profoundly lived and experienced the Holy Spirit in his own life. In this work, Come, O Holy Spirit, an indisputably orthodox theology is simply and clearly presented, uplifting the soul in authentically ascetical and mystical meditations. It is a work addressed to and particularly those preparing for Confirmation, for catechists, and for all who wish to deepen the vivifying presence of the Holy Spirit in their souls and make him the very light of their existence.

Don Dolindo Ruotolo The priest Dolindo Ruotolo was born in Naples on October 6, 1882 and died there on November 19, 1970 in the odor of sanctity. His life was a drama of love and of suffering for God, lived entirely in the shadow of the cross. He was a miracle of apostolic works of charity which consumed his strength up to his last day on earth. He wrote a commentary on the entire Old Testaments, 33 volumes constituting a massive collection of insights based on the Fathers of the Church. These volumes and their translations are continuous requests by priests and laity from every part of the world. He wrote countless pages of ascetic and mystical theology.
