Ramona Simms is in a rut, her life at a standstill. She is single and over the hill according to her overbearing mother. Her job is beyond tedious and the boss is a tyrant. Instead of a husband, Ramona comes home to a dog with gas. The closest candidate for Prince Charming is Neil, the guy from around the corner and someone she's known her whole life. When Ramona discovers her childhood rock heartthrob Jesse Alexander is coming out of retirement for a summer tour, she decides to change her life to reach for the dream of love and music. Can Ramona turn her nightmare into the stuff of dreams, and make those dreams a reality?

From the Author:

There is very little else an author cherishes more than their first novel.  "Dream in Color" was my answer to the question "What if a middle aged fan and her rock star crush meet face to face after decades of bland living and disappointment?"  Based in very large part on my own magical year 2000 when I got to meet my two biggest teen crushes, and on the interviews I conducted while waiting in line at meet and greets for Rick Springfield between 200 and 2004, "Dream" is more of a tender thank you note to retired celebrities who reach beyond the stage to their devoted fans.

From the Back Cover:

Approaching middle age, Ramona Simms doesn't live a colorful life. She has a dead end job, a gassy dog, and a mother who believes marriage is the only measure of success for a woman. She dreams her childhood idol, the retired rocker Jesse Alexander, will take her away from everything someday, but the only Prince Charming in her real life is her coworker, the persistent, colorless, Virgil.

Then Ramona learns Jesse is coming out of a retirement to do a series of concerts. Convinced this is her destiny calling, Ramona sets out on the journey of a lifetime, dreaming to turn her black and white life to something far more colorful.
