Is your cat companion an adventurous Sagittarian or a mysterious, mystical Aquarian? In this newest glimpse into the world of the Bohemian Cats, the twelve zodiac signs are each represented by a feline character set against the most extravagantly flamboyant costumes and settings. We see Leo as the ringmaster of a very unusual circus, the elegant Ms. Virgo admiring the roses in her autumn garden, Scorpio as the black beauty who can tell your true fortune, and many more. Short accompanying texts give the characteristics of cats born under each sign.
For lovers of cats, costumes, fairy tales and the gently bizarre, the exquisitely illustrated Bohemian Cats: The Zodiac 2012 Wall Calendar invites readers into a fantastical world where gorgeously dressed cats go about their business in a theatrical setting of lavish castles, Baroque gardens and rustic Bohemian inns.
Bohemian Cats is the creation of Prague-based Baba Studio, which focuses stylistically on magic realism and philosophically on projects that encourage inclusiveness, imagination and empathy. Their work has been shown in design magazines worldwide, including US Print, UK's Eye and Design Week, Portugal's Parq and France's Creation.
The interior pages of this calendar are printed on 100% recycled, 50% post-consumer paper, processed chlorine free and printed with soy based inks. In addition to printing our products on recycled paper, Amber Lotus Publishing continues to plant trees and offset our carbon footprint with NativeEnergy.

Karen Mahony and Alex Ukolov founded "baba studio" in Prague in 2002. The studio specialises in a distinctive magic-realism, lavish, humourous and utterly fantastical.
Their work has recently featured in a number of leading European design magazines.About the Author:
Karen Mahony trained at the Royal College of Art in London and has since worked at a senior level in very sensible design from both agency and client side. In 2001 she decided to leave sensibleness behind, and found Baba Studio in Prague. She now pursues a new decorative surrealism and the wilder sides of magic realist imagery - and loves her working day.
Alex Ukolov did fourteen years of rigorous art and design training in the old Soviet system, and at one time taught miniature painting. After moving to Prague he gave in to his Russian romanticism and, abandoning advertising, began to make odd and beautiful books at Baba Studio. He too is now happy.
