Lao Tzu once said, ďHe who knows others is wise; he who knows himself is enlightened.Ē Through my poetry, I record what I see in others and what lies in myself. I donít attempt to say I know everything about everything, but I will say I am on my way to being enlightened. Writing what I see is just my way to sort of snap a picture in time. Itís how I keep track of the pitfalls of life so that I can read them later and learn from them. My main goal is to not make the mistakes that others have made and to not fall victim to my own mistakes again. So you see, my writing is really for me. But I have no problem sharing it with you so that you may learn or so that you can prevent yourself from making mistakes others have made. You donít have to be burned by fire to know itís hot.
