Richard Brock has been in the agricultural marketing business for close to 30 years and is president of Brock Associates, a commodity marketing consulting firm that provides price forecasting and strategies for sales and purchasing programs to farmers, agri-business firms and the food industry. Brock Associates is headquartered in Milwaukee, Wis., with additional offices in Michigan and Minnesota and Washington D.C. While managing grain sales for farmers is the predominate part of Brock Associate s business, Brock also serves as a commodity marketing advisor and price forecaster to many of the nation s largest agribusiness firms, food companies and financial institutions. Brock authors The Brock Report, a 24 page weekly newsletter, and Brock Daily Electronic Comments, which is published three times daily, both detailing commodity pricing analysis and recommendations. His firm also publishes the four-page newsletter, Pork Profit Edge, for hog producers in conjunction with Elanco Animal Health Products, a division of Eli Lilly. Over the years Brock has written numerous articles for various magazines and newspapers. Currently, he writes a marketing column for the popular magazine Corn Soybean Digest and for Delta Farm Press, appears twice per week on the TV show AgDay and once per month on U.S. Farm Report. In the spring of 1995, Brock received the Distinguished Alumni of the Year award from Purdue University School of Agriculture, where he received his Bachelors of Science Degree in Agricultural Economics. Brock also has a Masters Degree from Cornell University. He is the author of three books and annually presents speeches throughout the country, addressing agricultural conventions on the topics of commodity price forecasting, agricultural policy, and long-term economic forecasting for the agricultural industry. Brock was born and raised on a grain and livestock farm in Indiana.
