Keng Siau is the E. J. Faulkner Professor of Management Information Systems (MIS) at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL), USA. He is currently serving as the editor-in-chief of the Journal of Database Management and co-editor-in-chief for Advances in Database Research. He is also the Director of the UNL-IBM Global Innovation Hub. In addition to being an internationally renowned database and systems analysis and design researcher, Professor Siau was ranked as one of the top ten e-commerce researchers in the world (Kim et al. 2006). He has won numerous research, teaching, and service awards e.g., the IFIP Outstanding Service Award in 2006 and the IBM Faculty Award in 2006 and 2008. He received his PhD degree from the University of British Columbia (UBC), where he majored in management information systems and minored in cognitive psychology. His master and bachelor degrees are in computer and information sciences from the National University of Singapore. Professor Siau has more than 200 academic publications. He has published more than 100 refereed journal articles, and these articles have appeared (or are forthcoming) in journals such as Management Information Systems Quarterly, Journal of the Association for Information Systems, Communications of the ACM, IEEE Computer, Information Systems Journal, Journal of Strategic Information Systems, Information Systems, ACM SIGMIS s Database, IEEE Transactions on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics, IEEE Transactions on Professional Communication, IEEE Transactions on Information Technology in Biomedicine, IEICE Transactions on Information and Systems, Data and Knowledge Engineering, Journal of Information Technology, and International Journal of Human-Computer Studies. In addition, he has published more than 100 refereed conference papers, edited/co-edited more than 15 scholarly and research-oriented books, edited/co-edited ten proceedings, and written more than 25 scholarly book chapters. He served as the Organizing and Program Chairs of the International Conference on Evaluation of Modeling Methods in Systems Analysis and Design (EMMSAD) (1996 20005). Professor Siau served on the Organizing Committees of AMCIS 2005, ER 2006, AMCIS 2007, EuroSIGSAND 2007, EuroSIGSAND 2008, and ICMB 2009. He also serves on numerous advisory boards and journal editorial boards
John Erickson is an assistant professor in the College of Business Administration at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. His research interests include UML, software complexity and Systems Analysis and design issues. He has published in journals such as the CACM, JDM, and in conferences such as AMICIS, ICIS WITS, EMMSAD, and CAiSE. He has also co-authored several book chapters.
