About the Author

Boyd K. Packer, president of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, has been a member of that quorum since 1970 and a General Authority since 1961. Prior to that, he was the supervisor of seminaries and institutes for the Church. A pilot in the U.S. Air Force during World War II, he later received a doctorate in education from BYU. He is the author of several bestselling books, including Mine Errand from the Lord and The Holy Temple. He and his wife, Donna Smith, are the parents of ten children.
