John C. Reynolds has pastored Southern Baptist churches for over thirty-eight years. He has worked as a bi-vocational pastor for twenty-two of those years. For the past eight years he has been a hospice chaplain for a major hospice company. Although he has written poetry on and off most of his life, it has only been in the last four years he began to keep up with his poems and begin to share them. As he began to share them with the patients he served, they began to gather enjoyment and even hope from them. It is because of them and at their insistence that he began to put them into a book. Many of his coworkers use his poems in their work and began to encourage him to get the book published. This book is the culmination of the struggles that he and his patients have gone through.
