The short stories in this book give an insightful view of border patrol agentsí duties in Chula Vista Border Patrol Sector in California starting in the year 1975. While the stories provide a rare look at the dangers faced by an agent, it highlights the sense of humor that gave this border patrol agent the ability to laugh at himself. Since a large number of arrests were in remote areas, there were wild as well as domestic animals with which to contend. The areas patrolled were on or just north of the Tijuana, Mexico, border. Stray animals from Tijuana ended up in these areas, sometimes sick with rabies, distemper or mange.
