Ages 3-9... After a summer accident leaves him with a broken leg, a young boy overcomes a bad case of the jitters on his first day back to school. A story of courage, acceptance, and support, Timmy's Brave Day is a tender and fun story meant to entertain and lend inspiration to any child who may need to overcome an obstacle, large or small, in his or her life or who may, perhaps, just need to be reminded of the importance of friendship and the power of being kind to one another.

Every child knows the nervousness associated with feeling different or embarrassed about something that he/she has no control over. I wrote Timmy's Brave Day using the example of a young boy having to wear a new cast on the first day of school. However, the cast can be representative of any condition, affliction, or physical/emotional attribute that might make a child feel self conscious. The moral of the book is that kindness, acceptance, and support can be the most healing medicine of all.About the Author:
Born in Yorkshire, England, Rebecca moved to the Orlando, Florida area when she was 8 years old. She has been writing as long as she can remember, but it was as a freshman in high school (after reading "My Career as a Writer" for a class assignment) that she made the choice to follow this passion. She earned a Bachelor's degree in English from Rollins College in Winter Park, FL and followed this with a Master's Certificate in Professional Writing from the University of Central Florida. She is a mother to three children and has been happily married for 20 years. Throughout her life, writing has been a source of release and joy. Her first e-mail address used the acronym AAWAH, back in 1994. Always a Writer at Heart! And it is true to this day.
