Rescued from disaster by her Protectors, nineteen-year-old Taylor Scott has managed to survive the evil schemes of the Reavers, sent by the Dark to control her destiny. Speaking aloud of her love toward Michael Carson, a young man responsible for her safety, prevented her from crossing over to the Dark side.
Being in love, however, can also become a curse, especially for two young people that are attempting to control their carnal desires. Without warning, the steamy moments heat up; and they find themselves playing with fire. Both realize the importance of controlling the passion, but that doesn't stop the feelings burning deep within their very souls.
Now that Iris, the eldest Protector, has uncovered the Dark's plan, it's up to her to see that it is not fulfilled. Even before Taylor knew what she was destined to become, there had been numerous hints through reoccurring dreams. Being caught up in those terrifying ordeals, better described as something in-between a trance and a nightmare, the young lady suffered both physically and emotionally.
Yet, solving one crisis still left plenty to be concerned about. An evil young man picked by the Dark plans for Taylor to bear his child, and he will stop at nothing. While Ryan's attempt failed on that frightening night, Taylor s blood still coursed through his veins. Soon they would meet again, this time in the depths of a deep, dark, sinister world that he calls home: the place humans call The Abyss!
