About the Author:

Fred McMane has been covering American and international sports for over two decades. In addition to authoring over a dozen sports books, his writing has appeared in numerous publications, including Sports Illustrated, and in wire accounts for United Press International. He lives in Milburn, New Jersey.

Stuart Shea is a freelance writer specializing in sports and music. He is the author of Wrigley Field: An Unauthorized Biography. When he’s not busy discovering new music, he can be found co-running Bard-ball.com, the Internet’s top site for baseball poetry.
