God and Satan are fishing for our souls... I know many people who accept life as it comes, an honorable and biblical way of living, but still the question remains; in the loneliness of the night, when it is just you and your thoughts, is this how you thought life would be? What about those you may know who have died or who are dying of cancer? Or what about the suffering people you hear about on the news? Are their lives working out according to your plan, even if they are strangers to you? That is the reality about which I write. Real life - not the kind we push under the surface because we don't want to deal with it. Biblically, we are all participants in a spiritual war. Our enemy the devil wants to kill us. He hates us more than we can imagine. Our Savior God wants to rescue us. He loves us so much that He sent His Son to die for us. Because love demands a choice we all have to choose between the two: Satan or God. It's our choice. Sound crazy? Perhaps. But compared to what? Bottom Fishing is a book about biblical truth. It is for those whose lives have not worked out as expected and who wonder why. Written using modern day parables, this book discusses the spiritual war we are all fighting. It brings out the reality of Satan, while shining a light on God's true character - not the one of our opinions; rather the God of His word. And that truth is beautiful. The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full (John 10:10) Who will hook yours? We are not physical people deteriorating day-by-day until death takes us to the abyss; we are souls being advanced moment-by-moment, until God takes us home.
