Don Zolidis is a former high school and middle school theatre teacher as well as a former playwriting professor. His 58 published plays have been produced more than 5,000 times and have been performed in 40 different countries. Originally hailing from Wisconsin, Zolidis received his BA in English from Carleton College and an MFA in Playwriting from the Actor’s Studio Program at the New School. His work has received numerous honors, including the Princess Grace Award, an NEA grant, and two Edgerton New Play Foundation awards. In 2012 his play White Buffalo was nominated for the Pulitzer Prize. (It didn’t win.) Professionally, his plays have appeared at the Purple Rose Theatre, the Victory Theatre, the Phoenix Theatre, the Montgomery Theater, the Coterie Theatre, and many others. He currently lives in Texas with his wife and two children and is working on a musical.
