Today, in the age of the Likud and ISIS, Oscar's son, the Jewish Arab journalist Massoud Hayoun whom Oscar raised in Los Angeles, finds his voice by telling his family's story.

About the Author
Massoud Hayoun is a journalist who lives in Los Angeles. He has reported for Al Jazeera, Pacific Standard Magazine, Anthony Bourdain's Parts Unknown online, The Atlantic, and Agence France-Presse, among others. He speaks and works in several languages.
