About the Author:

Eugene Kennedy is an American psychologist, bestselling author, columnist, and a professor emeritus of Loyola University Chicago. A former Maryknoll priest in great standing and a long-time observer of the Roman Catholic Church he has written more than fifty books on psychology, religion, the Catholic church, and psychology of religion, and also published three novels, Father's Day (1981), Queen Bee (1982), and Fixes (1989). He has written a column for the Religious News Service, distributed by the New York Times syndicate, and now writes a regular column and blog for the National Catholic Reporter.
