Leonardo Boff, from Brazil, is one of the world s best-known theologians, author of more than sixty books on liberation theology, ecology, and spirituality, including Jesus Christ Liberator, Cry of the Earth, Cry of the Poor, and (with Mark Hathaway) The Tao of Liberation. In 2001 he received the prestigious Right Livelihood Award.
