The small mountain town of Riker's Bend, Montana is embroiled in a wolf-hunting controversy in which environmentalists struggle to save the endangered species while local ranchers grow angrier at the loss of livestock to the nocturnal predators. Into this powder keg comes a mysterious, young stranger who is wounded by a hunter and unable to speak English. A local rancher and Iraq war vet, Roy Dodson, feels sorry for him and takes him in. Little does he know there is more to this kid than meets the eye: he is a werewolf with a dark, haunted past a century long. When two ominous Russian men come into town claiming to have lost their "friend", Dodson realizes that protecting the kid from their monstrous plan would require him to risk and possibly sacrifice everything, including his life.
