Rush: Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Excellence by Robert Freedman offers a compelling exploration of the philosophical underpinnings of one of rock’s most iconic bands. Often celebrated for their intellectual lyrics and progressive sound, Rush’s music is deeply rooted in the principles of Aristotelian individualism—a philosophy that champions self-actualization, personal responsibility, and the pursuit of excellence.
