This book is a collection of poetry that I have written on my first 31 years here on earth. Each poem depicts a certain mood or theme, such as love, heartache, happiness, and sadness. These poems were written to teach a lesson, entertain, grab an emotion and just bring pleasure and enjoyment to all who read it. All of these poems are treasures that I hope will create memories that will never be forgotten and last well into the future. Jamel Devon Bryant was born on September 9, 1982 in the Bedford-Stuyvesant section of Brooklyn, New York. He began his literary journey when in his sophomore year of high school in 1997. His first poem called "Music" was published in his school newspaper "The Robeson Eagle" Bryant says he began writing as a means of self-expression and to escape the ordinary. His poetry was designed to give readers an "in-depth" look into his writing and show them that poetry are more than just words on paper but they are our hopes, dreams, and ambitions being real. Bryant credits his mom, Beatrice Bryant for a lot of his success, as she was the one who pushed him to fulfill his dreams and make them reality. Sadly, his mom passed away on May 28, 1998 due to Breast Cancer and he dedicated a poem called "Too Soon" in her memory. He hopes that everyone who reads this memoir of poetry can relate to them and will treasure them and that they will create memories for years to come. Currently, he's working on his 2nd book, Memoirs of My Heart and Soul!
