As we know, twenty students and six teachers perished in a rampage in Newtown, Connecticut in 2012. The whole country was in mourning. This can't happen anymore, we need to protect our children at all costs. Sadly, some politicians tried to use such a tragedy for their agenda. We need to tell them to stop playing games. We need a real, straight talk about guns, safety and freedom. It's time to stand together in protecting our children, our freedom, our democracy, and our principles. There is diversity, yes, still the politicians should try to unite the people, not just build their careers. Finally, the government must prove integrity, competence and trust. My message is that we need to work together every day to build a safer environment for our children, to offer them a great future in a more peaceful world. Ion Pandele was born on September 29, 1951 in Oarja, Romania. After graduating the Academy of Fine Arts he was a professional artist. In 1995 he immigrated in the US. Along with his paintings he published poetry books, Mother America (2006), Nothing but Glory (2008) and Tears and Fears (2009).
