Can I find Hope and Healing in This #MeToo World?
With the recent headlines about gender-based abuse, power, harassment, and assault, it seems as if everyone is searching for answers. Marlo Schalesky provides a biblical response to the tough questions raised by these issues. “I want more than justice; I want healing. I want more than healing; I want wholeness. I want more than wholeness; I want holiness.”
Millions of women struggling through experiences of violence or harassment are learning how to find their voices. This problem isn’t new—the Bible is filled with stories of women who endured undeserved abuse and hardship. They were often considered the spoils of war, the property of their husbands and even treated as outcasts for being infertile or unwed.
Bible teacher Marlo Schalesky looks at twenty women in the Bible to see God’s healing and transforming power, calling hurting women to wholeness, new vision, and new hope. With the compassion that comes from someone who’s been there too, Schalesky encourages you to find your voice as you rely on God.
