About the Author

Edward Andrés Dennis is a Mexican-American Author/Illustrator with Tohono O'odham and Guarijio roots. Before becoming an Author Edward worked as a Special Education teacher in inner city Phoenix at PESD #1. His background in education laid the foundation for his desire to pursue children's literature. Edward is the son of farmworkers and immigrants. His books revolve around his Great Grandfather's Jorge Dennis-Flores and Luz Martinez-Alvarez. Edward has worked for Disney, Shimano, Giant bicycles, Toyota and many other companies as a freelance artist. He works closely with UFW Foundation and many other organizations that help advance Latino progress. He's been featured on CNN, Telemundo, TV Azteca, ABC, NBC and many more news outlets. Edward resides in the Sonoran Desert where he enjoys cycling and hiking.
