A mysterious mix of fantasy and fact in young Jonah's portrayal of his dramatic encounter with a massive blue whale. He leaves us wondering, was this truly a dream?
Mythical, imaginary or not, the experience leaves the boy with a profound fondness and respect for the enormous, benevolent sea creature. Indeed, it shapes the way Jonah will view and interact with whales for the rest of his life. The audience also learns tons about blue whale behavior and characteristics.

"After military service and several employment opportunities I found career fulfillment in public education, Medina City Schools, OH. Retired, I travel the country visiting family. Settling recently in Redmond, OR, I envision the vast Cascade Range as vigilant sentinels on my daily hikes." Life is smiles... a few days without.
Born and raised in New York, Sibu spent a lot of his childhood years scribbling and sketching, dreaming and imagining. Being a first-generation child of immigrant parents made the route to a career in the arts a long one, but here he finds himself, many years behind him and still dreaming. And so just as he carried those dreams with him as he studied literature and art at Stony Brook University, he carries them to this day, illustrating and writing for picture books. Sibu is currently earning his MFA in Illustration at the Hartford Art School. He also studies at the Art Students League of New York and is a proud member of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators. When he's not in front of a drawing board, he's got his camera in tow, shooting while hiking and traveling.
