Synopsis

The Rebels are in Pennsylvania! As the Union Army marches north to confront them, four soldiers face the inevitable battle, and up ahead is a town named Gettysburg.

In the summer of 1863, the fate of the country hangs in the balance. Union army failures in the East have moved the Confederacy ever so close to their goal of independence. If the Union Army of the Potomac suffers one more defeat, the war could be lost.

When he's promoted to army commander, Gen. George Meade feels completely unequal to the task. With a battle at Gettysburg looming and loyalties uncertain, Meade must draw on his knowledge and experience to achieve victory over the Confederates.

Daniel Sickles, a killer even before joining the war effort, is unhappy where Meade places him as the battle gets underway. Disobeying orders, he guides his corps far out ahead of the rest of the army, seeking glory. His ego may lose the Union this battle.

Winfield Hancock is junior among the other corps commanders. The left of the army's line teeters on the edge of collapse, and death surrounds them. Hancock must find a way to inspire his men to stand their ground if they want to keep the country whole.

Henry Taylor volunteered for the war effort early on, but repeated failures have caused his faith in the cause to wane. Despite overwhelming odds, his unit is ordered to make a desperate counter-attack. They must succeed in order to stop the Confederate assault.

As the battle unfolds, each American must prove that they can be counted among "The Loyal, True, and Brave".
