The owner of a large company is on his way home for the evening when he is stopped by one of his staff, and makes him aware of some discrepancies in the department reports. He said he would take them home and check them out, then let him know. After a while he decided to take a break, and stepped out onto the patio. It was a comfortable night as he watched the moonbeams dance across the lake on the side of his home. As he gazed at the scene, he felt a sharp pain in his chest, and saw the blood oozing down his shirt. He staggered backwards and fell back into his chair, and that is where his son found him later. He had just brought his mother home from the dinner party. His dad had asked him to escort his mother, because he needed to work on the reports.

About the Author:
I grew up in Michigan and went to school in Detroit. My first experience was in grade school when I wrote a play and it was staged in the auditorium for family and friends. Since then I have belonged to Writer Groups and The Poet Society. While in the writers' group we wrote stories, published them ourselves and then booklets were sent to libraries for everyone to read.
