Submissive Women Finish Last shows my various observations on abused women of their strength how they cope or when they stand up for themselves. On the other hand I've also seen how they lose the strength to fight back or entirely give up and fall and submit themselves to death, jail or mental institutions.

I am a fifty-six years old woman, born in Washington DC with married parents and six siblings. I attended public schools as a child and teenager. I moved to Wheaton,MD as a teenager and graduated from Albert Einstein High School in 1976. I attended University of District Columbia in the fall of the year 1976. I received a Associate Degree in Graphic Arts in 1979 then in 1982, I received a Bachelor Degree in Advertising Design. I graduated from college and moved on to being a graphic designer freelancer for cooperations and small companies. After, I ended up working for Metro Transit Company as a certified bus driver.
I presently have a beautiful family which includes my husband and two teenagers. In 2012, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I decided to go back to what I loved which was art. I am now disabled and my art work is realistic and it shows my expressions with having cancer in my life. Cancer has made me more humble and grateful for all I have. The creativity came when I was silent and God spoke to me and said “I want you to get back into your art and don’t worry about nothing else in life, I will handle it.”
Doing artwork and writing brings joy to my soul and keeps my mind on hope. I am blessed with a home in the suburbs of Prince Georges, MD. Beyond my doors, I am hoping that others will see my creativity as a blessing and message from the heart.
