Have you ever wished to ride the rainbow reaching to the horizons beyond, delving through hope and hopelessness, joy and misery? This book encompasses a young Pakistani girl's journey through life starting in the 1960s, leading to the present-poignant, bitter, and sweet. The three messages contained are thoughts, words, and actions can give life as well as kill. Unwise choices have lifelong debilitating consequences. There is hope for a better understanding of the uniformity underlying the diversity of humanity.

About the Author:
Born in November 1944 makes me a scorpio, which implies someone passionate with a depth of feeling mostly unrevealed except to the selected few who are close enough to be personal friends... I was born in Aligarh, United provinces, India and was the first child in my parents' generation hence received a lot of attention from a team of uncles and aunts who shared the house with my parents and my grandparents. That pampering suddenly ended in 1947 when Pakistan was separated from India and recognised as an independent country resulting in feuds between the various religious groups and the mass exodus of Muslims and Hindus moving from India to Pakistan and vice versa. My family moved to Pakistan being of Islamic faith. In Pakistan I was in a nuclear family made up of my parents and my younger sister who was born during the turbulent era. My father being in the military my parents had an active social life which left little time to spend with their children. My mother had also started private studies which made her time more limited. We had a spate of nannies while moving around at a fast pace from city to city hence encountering a change of environment, schools and classmates. The foundation of being appreciative of different cultures and environments was laid. Being a quiet, reflective child as well meant that there were few opportunities for close friendships; besides the games and activities which interested most kids bored me to distraction. I began to reflect upon the class divisions and social injustices at an early age and thus the foundation was laid for putting my thoughts on paper. I started writing at fourteen and continued ever since. I began writing stories and poems in Urdu and at age fifteen started to express myself in English verse. Some of my work was published in Pakistani and British papers. I came to UK after being widowed at a young age alone, friendless and penniless. I had not finished my MA in Applied Psychology. After struggling for survival for many years I went into social services and worked as a community cum social worker in UK. My two sons are talented musicians and compose inspirational music. I have six unpublished books compiled in Urdu. My mother is a retired Teacher Trainer living in Pakistan. I have diplomas in Counseling, Hypnotherapy and Beauty Therapy from UK, Master level in Reiki and a DRS in Religious Science. Unconditional love and respect is the only salvation we have in a world full of suffering and strife.
