Synopsis
Book Description:
This fun and uniquely illustrated children's chapter book is all about the adventures of an Idaho potato who lives on Farmer Fred's farm. Like Fred's son Ed, Jimmy has big ambitions. Jimmy's goal is to become the most delicious fries on the planet and to be served to a famous person in the world's fanciest restaurant. Jimmy wants to be a celebrity, with people naming their children after him and toys being made in his image. But Jimmy finds out that life has a different plan-he ends up in a trash can in a fast food restaurant. Just when Jimmy thinks he's failed in achieving his dream he meets a new group of self-aware friends and his real journey begins as his new friends band together to help him achieve his dream.
A perfect chapter book for kids 7 and up, and exciting bedtime story for parents, teachers, and caregivers to read to younger kids. The different chapters will encourage conversation about several important topics, including remaining positive and never giving up on a dream, being open to different ways to achieve a dream, and if you fall down to get back up. Also to listen to wise advice and help others as you are able, and that you might find new friends in the most unlikely places. It touches as well on the huge amounts of food wasted daily while millions of children go to bed hungry at night.

About the Author
Morteza Motlagh was born in Tehran, Iran, then moved to the United States. He began writing poetry at the age of nine and has continued writing to this day. His works include poetry, children's books, motivational speeches, lyrics, and an autobiography. Morteza lives in Sacramento with his wife and a little rabbit named Albertus McCreery Cotton Candy Cinnabunbun. His writing, inspired by his observations of life and his undying hope that things can always be better, is his number one hobby followed by golf, swimming, and Persian cooking.
