Stephanie McConnell is an 18-year school principal and Assistant Superintendent inEast Texas. Morris Lyon currently is the Executive Director for Region 3 ESC in Victoria, Texas. Morris formerly led the Division of Governance-Field Support at theTexas Education Agency where he served as Senior Director. At TEA, Morriswas the Texas Blue Ribbon Schools Liaison to the US Department ofEducation and led the work of Board Support, Lone Star Governance, Sanction Monitoring, District of Innovation, Waivers, and Accreditation.Morris has served 14 years as a superintendent for a total of 20 years ineducational leadership. He has served in many statewide organizationsincluding the Texas Association of School Administrators, Texas RuralEducation Association, Regional Education Advisory Boards, UniversityInterscholastic League Waiver Board, and Western Governors University-Texas Advisory Board. One of his district's campuses was a recipient of the2019 Blue Ribbon School for closing the achievement gaps. He was the2014 Texas Rural Education Superintendent of the Year, is the co-author ofWIN Time, and currently, he is a doctoral student at UT-Tyler focusing on anEdD in School Improvement.
