About the Author
For over twenty-five years, Jeff Evans' global experiences as a world-class mountaineer, guide, and emergency medicine physician assistant have placed him in some of the most chaotic and challenging situations imaginable. From guiding the first blind man to the summit of Mount Everest to being the medical trauma team lead for the Iraqi Special Operations as they fought to liberate Mosul from ISIS, Jeff has always sought out daunting and sometimes imminently dangerous projects.
He is the published author of MountainVision: Lessons Beyond the Summit, and is featured in the award-winning documentaries Farther Than the Eye Can See, Blindsight, and High Ground. He was the lead medic on the Travel Channel series, Everest Air, and secured a second-place finish with his team on the ABC adventure race series, Expedition Impossible. He continues to guide expeditions, volunteer as a physician assistant, speak to companies around the world, and seek out chaotic environments to work in.
Jeff received his undergraduate degree in anthropology from the University of Colorado in Boulder, and his masters as a Physician Assistant at Drexel University in Philadelphia. Jeff currently resides in Evergreen, Colorado, with his wife, Merry Beth, son, Jace, and dog Roka.
