Synopsis
Learning and Complex Behavior (supplemented by recent papers and study questions at www.lcb-online.org) offers a parsimonious account of all human and animal behavior in terms of two analogous selection processes: natural selection and reinforcement. The authors’ biobehavioral approach integrates research from both behavior analysis and neuroscience, and it extends the principles derived from such research to cognitive phenomena that lie largely beyond experimental control, such as attention, perception, language, problem solving, and memory.
